Assessment centre

An Assessment Centre can be characterised as a process during which all of the available methods are used so that you receive the largest possible amount of basic information for decision-making concerning the further posting or career development of an employee.

The main principles involve the use of an independent evaluation undertaken by several individuals, the use of psycho-diagnostic tools, case studies and indoor and outdoor activities.

Our company has successfully used this method for a number of years to select employees and has undertaken the organisation of assessment centres which are made to measure for the needs of individual clients during the restructuring of companies and so on. Our team has experienced employees who are capable of comprehensively securing the progress of the assessment centres – from the introductory analysis of our client’s needs through to the organisation of the actual assessment centre and on to the preparation of the final report and the interpretation of the results for the customer, including feedback for the participants.

We consider it to be necessary to always retune the attractiveness of the assessment centre for each specific client and position in relation to the ideal candidates and to select those tools which have a relevant predicative value in relation to the degree of success in the function, to the stability of the employee’s tenure within the company and the ability to adopt to new conditions.

It is suitable to use the AC, for example, in the following situations:

  • when making an appointment to a certain position while choosing from several candidates
  • in the case of the merger and acquisition of companies, the consequence of which is the necessity of evaluating the potential of individuals
  • the evaluation of selected internal candidates for a certain position as the basis for career planning and setting their specialist development

The Assessment Centre is probably the most comprehensive tool for evaluating and comparing the personal and professional qualities of the individual participants. It eliminates the influence of the halo effect, makes personal preferences more objective and assists in inducing the conditions for effective communication with the team and individuals.
